Our March Series..... Me? A Disciple?!
Check out our Brand New Series called: "Me? A Disciple?!" Discipleship is an easy word but a tough command, so each week for the month of March we will be piecing together what Jesus meant when he called us to be his disciples.
We meet every Sunday in the 10AM main service where we worship with the adults. We'll dismiss from the sanctuary during offering (around 10:35 AM) and walk to the Edify room (room 16).
So if you're in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade, then get ready, and we hope to see you there!
March Services Agenda
Sunday march 5 - Go to Reach (Message: Listen)
Sunday March 12 - Go to Reach (Message: Follow)
Sunday March 19 - Go to Reach (Message: Grow)
Sunday March 26 - Go to Reach (Message: Go)
Who are we?
We are the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade student ministry led by Pastor Ben May here at Lakeside. The group meets in the Edify room every Sunday right after praise and worship, where we have a preaching service geared specifically for middle schoolers. The transition from the kids church to the youth group can be a very challenging time, so we incorporate food, fellowship, and fun to help the students develop faith and friendships that will last a lifetime. Engaging messages, encouraging small groups, and powerful prayer times paint the picture of what a Sunday morning is like for Reach Middle School.
What have we done?
We have done SO MUCH! From BB gun camps to Cider Mill trips to just hanging out at someone's house for a devotional night, Reach is ALWAYS doing something cool!
Where are we going?
The name “Reach” stands for this:
God loved us so much that He Reached down to us, so that we could Reach Him. While we Reach up to draw closer to God, we must learn to reach out to spread God’s love to each other… This year I want our group to Reach out. We are planning several new ministry opportunities for the students to serve in, and many new events for them to invite their friends too.
Thank you volunteers!
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our middle school team this past year! Whether you helped each week at the services, once a month at an event, or once in a while you drove a van, I couldn’t have done this without you. Thank you for being such a blessing.
This past year has been wonderful. I have seen and I have learned so much in just this past year, and I am so excited to see what God’s going to do in the hearts and lives of these middle schoolers next year!
