READ THIS FIRST!
Hey thank you for reading this first. Here at Lakeside we are SO excited for what God is going to do in the lives of our middle schoolers here, so come check out our AWESOME wednesday night services, and come on out to one of our monthly events! You're totally invited. (Yes you!)
EVERY WEDNESDAY 7-8PM = Worship with the Youth Group
EVERY WEDNESDAY 8-9PM = Middle School Service with preaching, teaching, small groups, games, and a whole lot of Jesus!
Who are we?
We are the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade student ministry led by Pastor Ben May here at Lakeside. The group meets in the Edify room every Wednesday right after praise and worship, where we have a preaching service geared specifically for middle schoolers. The transition from the kids church to the youth group can be a very challenging time, so we incorporate food, fellowship, and fun to help the students develop faith and friendships that will last a lifetime. Engaging messages, encouraging small groups, and powerful prayer times paint the picture of what a Wednesday evening is like for Reach Middle School.
What have we done?
We have done SO MUCH! From BB gun camps to Cider Mill trips to just hanging out at someone's house for a devotional night, Reach is ALWAYS doing something cool!
Where are we going?
The name “Reach” stands for this:
God loved us so much that He Reached down to us, so that we could Reach Him. While we Reach up to draw closer to God, we must learn to reach out to spread God’s love to each other… This year I want our group to Reach out. We are planning several new ministry opportunities for the students to serve in, and many new events for them to invite their friends too.
Thank you volunteers!
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our middle school team this past year! Whether you helped each week at the services, once a month at an event, or once in a while you drove a van, I couldn’t have done this without you. Thank you for being such a blessing.
The past few years have been wonderful. I am so excited to see what God’s going to do in the hearts and lives of these middle schoolers this next year!
